Mid-size firm, about 50 employees. Used Fragomen as the immigration firm. Very organized.
Congrats on the approval! What category did you file under — skilled worker or professional?
Agreed! The chart view makes trend analysis so much easier.
Congrats! Did you do regular or premium processing?
Regular processing and still got it in 4 months? That is really fast!
Professional (requires bachelor's degree). My job needed a BS in Computer Science.
My I-140 at Texas took 7 months regular. Filed March 2025, approved October 2025. Premium would have been worth it in hindsight.
This gives me hope. Filed mine at Nebraska in December. Fingers crossed for a quick approval!
Congrats again! Nebraska seems to be the way to go if you have a choice.
Mine was Nebraska. Filed in August 2024, I-140 took 5 months, then I-485 took about 10 months.
Did your employer use a large law firm? I've heard that can affect processing speed.
That's amazing for regular processing. Texas is still taking 6-8 months from what I've heard.
From receipt date. USCIS has 45 business days to make a decision on premium I-140s.
My I-140 has been pending at Nebraska for 6 months now. No RFE, no update. Starting to worry.
Thanks Jenny. I checked and it is still within range. Will wait another month before inquiring.
Regular processing. Filed in October 2025, approved February 2026. My lawyer said Nebraska is averaging 3-5 months right now.
Happy to share more details if anyone has questions! Nebraska has been processing faster lately.
For premium processing, is the 45-day clock from filing date or receipt date?
Good to know about the 2-year validity. I will schedule my medical closer to the filing date.
Business days, not calendar days? That is an important distinction. Thanks!
Will bring 5 years just in case. Better to have it and not need it.
Tom, 6 months is still within normal range. Check the USCIS processing times page. You can submit an inquiry if it's outside the posted range.
