EB2 EB3 Green Card No Wait April 2026: March 2026 Visa Bulletin Update
The March 2026 Visa Bulletin outlines immigrant visa number availability for employment-based and family-sponsored preference categories. Key oversubscribed chargeability areas remain China, India, Mexico, and Philippines.
The U.S. Department of State has released the March 2026 Visa Bulletin (Number 12, Volume XI), detailing immigrant visa number availability for both employment-based and family-sponsored preference categories. Applicants should refer to the 'Final Action Dates' charts unless USCIS announces that 'Dates for Filing' charts may be used for adjustment of status applications.
For fiscal year 2026, the annual limit for family-sponsored preference immigrants is set at 226,000, while the worldwide employment-based preference level is at least 140,000. The per-country limit remains at 7% of the combined annual family-sponsored and employment-based totals, equating to 25,620 visas per country.
The four oversubscribed chargeability areas continue to be China (mainland born), India, Mexico, and the Philippines. Applicants from these countries face longer backlogs due to per-country caps under INA Section 202. Visa allocations are made in chronological order of priority dates based on demand received by February 4th.
EB-3 applicants should monitor the USCIS website at uscis.gov/visabulletininfo to determine which chart applies for filing adjustment of status applications each month. If annual numerical limits are reached, a preference category can be made immediately unavailable.
Applicants with priority dates approaching the current final action dates should ensure their documentation is complete and submitted to the National Visa Center promptly to avoid delays in visa issuance.
