Community Survey Documents Impact of USCIS Adjudication Pause on 39 Countries
A grassroots survey is collecting data on how the USCIS adjudication pause has affected applicants from 39 countries. Results will be compiled into a public report for use in Congressional advocacy. Survey closes March 1, 2026.
A community-led initiative is underway to quantify the real-world impact of the USCIS adjudication pause on immigration applicants from 39 affected countries. The effort, organized by a Reddit user known as data_queen2026, aims to translate personal stories of hardship into concrete statistical data that lawmakers and advocacy groups cannot ignore.
The survey, hosted on Qualtrics, asks affected individuals to share details about how the pause has impacted their employment, finances, and family life. Organizers are particularly focused on documenting the economic cost of the pause, arguing that data-driven reports carry more weight in legislative and policy conversations than anecdotal accounts alone.
For EB-3 applicants — including skilled workers, professionals, and unskilled workers with pending USCIS applications — the adjudication pause has created significant uncertainty around job authorization, travel, and long-term planning. The pause has reportedly caused job losses and financial strain across affected communities.
Once the survey closes on March 1, 2026, a full report will be compiled and made freely available online. The report is intended to be used by affected individuals when contacting their U.S. senators and representatives, as well as by immigration advocacy organizations.
Affected applicants are encouraged to complete the survey before the deadline. Privacy-conscious respondents can use incognito browsing or a VPN. All responses are confidential and will only be used in aggregate for research and advocacy purposes.
