The April 2026 Visa Bulletin has been released with notable advancements in the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories for nationals of India, according to an analysis by Reddy Neumann Brown law group. These forward movements represent meaningful progress for Indian-born applicants who have faced some of the longest backlogs in the employment-based immigration system. Indian nationals dominate the EB-3 backlog due to high demand relative to the annual per-country visa allocation caps. Any forward movement in the priority dates is significant, as it directly determines which applicants can proceed to the final stages of the green card process, including filing adjustment of status applications or consular processing. The simultaneous advancement in both EB-2 and EB-3 categories is particularly noteworthy, as movement in one category can sometimes come at the expense of another. Applicants with priority dates that fall on or before the newly published cutoff dates may now be eligible to take action on their pending cases. EB-3 applicants and their employers should review the updated Visa Bulletin carefully and consult with their immigration attorneys to determine whether they are now current and what steps they should take. Those eligible may be able to file Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status) or proceed with National Visa Center processing if abroad.
